Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Biomedical Scientist to join our team in Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB.
Here in CTMUHB we are looking for innovate solutions to enable us to respond to the challenges of delivering Cellular Pathology Services. This includes the development of Digital Pathology and developing our team to enable them to reach their potential. If you would like to be a part of that process then we would love to hear from you.
The successful candidate will be HCPC registered and a qualified Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Cellular Pathology. Personal skills, a flexible approach to the service, be able to multi task, be self motivated, work well under pressure on their own initiative and as part of a team.
Applicants without a Specialist Portfolio will be considered on Band 5
Main duties of the job
You will work with a team of medical staff, healthcare scientists and support workers to ensure the provision of high quality cellular pathology services within Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board
You'll perform specialist automated and manual tests throughout the department and be involved in auditing processes, reagent control, and maintenance of equipment.
As a specialist Biomedical Scientist as well as rotating through all areas of the department you'll take responsibility within a specialism supporting innvoation as well as providing training and ensuring compliance with ISO15189 standard.
You'll support in the day-to-day supervision of Medical Laboratory Assistants and Associate Practioners within the department
