Job overview

As part of the Medical Education Team, the post holder will support the Department in ensuring the effective route of both Undergraduates and Postgraduates through their attachment to the UHB.  The post holder will also act as a support for the ongoing teaching and training requirements for all Medical Students, Training Grade Doctors and Senior Medical Staff.

English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will act independently within clearly defined occupational policies with work managed rather than supervised, providing a range of administrative support and effectively deliver and prioritise a wide range of duties including some pastoral care duties.

The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, good communication skills both written and oral, and be able to work on their own initiative.  Previous relevant experience of working in an education/training environment would be of benefit.

Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn’t mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn’t ‘fluency’, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health. For more information, see ‘Welsh Language Guidance’ in the documents right at the bottom.
