Job overview

We are looking for an organised and proactive Administrator to support the Guardian of Safe and Flexible Working in ensuring compliance with the 2026 Terms and Conditions for Resident Doctors. In this varied role, you will provide high-quality administrative support, monitor and manage exception reporting processes, maintain accurate records and databases, and produce regular reports to support decision making.

You will be a key point of contact for resident doctors, educational supervisors and managers, providing advice, coordinating communications and helping to ensure contractual deadlines are met. The role also involves analysing data, identifying trends, escalating immediate safety concerns and supporting the Resident Doctor Forum.

The successful candidate will have experience in an office environment, strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to manipulate data and produce reports. Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and handle confidential information professionally.

This is an excellent role for someone who enjoys working with data, coordinating processes and contributing to the delivery of safe and effective healthcare services.

Main duties of the job

·      Provide a professional, effective and efficient administrative support function to the Guardian.

·       Collate and provide information to support Health Board compliance with the 2026 Terms and Conditions for Resident Doctors.

·       Receive, and where necessary, escalate exception reports.

·       Compile weekly and quarterly reports.

Essential criteria
  • Minimum GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Knowledge of MS office suite

  • Knowledge of medical rotas and the terms and conditions for medical staff
