Job overview

This is a fantastic opportunity for a physiotherapist to join the team at the development of this exciting new service. You will be involved in the implementation of a falls service across CTM.

This service will provide falls advice, assessment, and intervention when needed at local venues. We are developing a service that looks at both prevention and intervention – expanding on some exciting work already going on in CTM and making this available to our whole community.

The team will work with an individual and their carer to make decisions about the best way to reduce the risk of the person falling, raise awareness of risk factors for falling and make any necessary changes to their home to prevent falls.

We are creating innovative offers of assessment, advice and intervention, building strong integrated teams and designing a seamless pathway for our patients with our patients.

You will be valued as an integral part of the service development.

Your career progression is important to us and CTM has an excellent L&D offer as well as support for external learning. You will be supported in this role to develop your skills in this area and be provided with the supervision and education needed to enable you and the team to feel confident in being a part of starting this new service.

Main duties of the job

To provide a high standard of physiotherapy service within the falls service working across the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB) localities, health board sites and various community settings.

To autonomously work as well as alongside members of the multidisciplinary team ensuring best current, evidence based clinical management of patients referred within the defined specialist clinical area.

The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner and will have relevant post registration experience for the role and will undertake specialist clinical duties as required within a defined specialist clinical area.

Your wellbeing matters to us and we are proud of the work our wellbeing champions do across therapies and the range of activities that are on offer.
