An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Deputy Ward Manager within the Mental Health Directorate at Ysbyty George Thomas. The post is situated on the Supported Recovery Unit. Considered applicants will be Registered Mental Health Nurses who have the ability and confidence to support the ward manager in the operation of the ward taking overall responsibility in their absence . Shortlisted applicants will be those who can clearly present evidence of their aspirations toward becoming a deputy ward manager and have extensive knowledge, practice, experience and understanding of the operation of inpatient rehabilitation units.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem solving skills, be able to work alongside existing team managers and have the personal characteristics to assist in leading a strong, experienced and supportive team in a challenging and rewarding environment.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply
