Job overview

This role is a highly sought-after opportunity for experienced project managers preferably already working in digital transformation. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of knowledge and skills and be part of an exciting time in the Digital & Data Directorate. 
The work is incredibly varied and rewarding and the post holder will work and engage with colleagues and teams from across the organisation such as clinical, technical and administration.

Based in the Digital & Data Directorate, the successful candidate will be an integral member of the newly formed Digital Transformation Team, a friendly and dedicated team of professionals whose whole ethics is based on collaboration, mutual support and passionate about making a difference through the implementation of digital healthcare solutions. 

Main duties of the job

Under the guidance of senior Digital Transformation staff, the successful candidate will be expected work collaboratively with operational and clinical colleagues and the wider digital team to support the re-design of services to improve the outcomes of our patients, citizens and families that we serve, as outlined in the Health Board’s strategy CTM 2030.  

Candidates will be expected to have some experience of managing technical and clinical digital transformation projects within a healthcare environment. Skills including; excellent engagement and stakeholder management, leadership and the successful management project and directorate resources contributing to project delivery.  In particular, the post holder will have specific project management responsibilities, often working within tight timescales and competing demands.

As a proactive and positive member of the team, the post holder will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of key transformation project objectives which will enable and support the vital work of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB).

Person specification

Knowledge / Experience

Essential criteria
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Project/programme management qualifications to Postgraduate Diploma level or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Experience of planning and delivery of projects in a public sector setting.
  • Experience of developing and writing business cases and project documentation
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge and understanding of issues facing people with mental health and/or learning disabilities
  • Understanding of how business change works in NHS clinical and administrative settings.
  • Understanding of how benefits management works

Skills
