Driver/Receptionist  –  52 annualised hours with availability of additional hours     

Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board is looking to drivers for its Urgent Primary Care Service which operates 24/7 365 days a year based at our call centre located at Ty Elai Dinas Isaf Estate, Williamstown, Tonypandy.  

The position is for 52 annualised hours with the possibility of moving to contracted hours as vacant shifts become available over time.  

We are looking for candidates who are able to work shifts across 24 hours a day and  seven days a week including overnights and bank holidays. 

Successful candidates will need full clean driving licence for three years or longer .   

The role involves driving medical staff to home visits, delivering medications and other activities as required of the service.

Main duties of the job

To drive medical staff to home visits across the three county boroughts of Bridgend, Merthyr and Rhondda Cynon Taff.  To deliver medications and other activities as required.  The service operates 24 hours 7days per week. 

We are looking for candidates with maximum flexibility to work across the various shift patterns.   

Candidates also need to be IT literate and able to perform basic hospital reception duties as part of their role. 

Candidates should indicate their availability and unavaiability to  work across the week within their application.

This doesn’t mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn’t ‘fluency’, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
