Main duties of the job
About the Role
As Head of Nursing, you will play a key leadership role in supporting the Divisional Nurse to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care across the division. You will work closely with nursing teams, service leads, and multidisciplinary colleagues to uphold clinical excellence, improve patient experience, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for helping to implement strategic priorities, drive quality improvement initiatives, and support workforce planning and development. You will act as a professional role model, providing guidance, support, and clinical leadership to nursing teams while championing best practice and innovation in care delivery.
Working collaboratively with the Divisional Nurse, you will contribute to service redesign, policy development, and performance monitoring, ensuring that care aligns with both regulatory requirements and organisational objectives.
