Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of the newly set up WelshPAS (WPAS) team within the Information Services department. 

The successful applicant will help the Product Manager in the development and preparation of the overall plan in relation to WPAS. This will include planning key work-streams regarding new functionalities and their implementation, providing business change management assistance with WPAS related projects and ensuring a comprehensive training service is provided.

This post requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively.  The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and highly motivated to play a key part in the WelshPAS service and development plans.

Main duties of the job

The WelshPAS Product Specialist will require experience of operational administrative processes and extensive understanding of policy including Referral to Treatment (RTT) Access Policy, WPAS policies and specialist knowledge to promote and ensure best practice and a smarter way of working.

The post holder will be a WPAS Super User providing advice, guidance and specialist training as needed to ensure compliance with the health board's policies and objectives.

There will be a responsibility within the organisation to develop, maintain and maximise in-depth specialist knowledge.  This will require attention to detail and strong relationships with colleagues and services  to fulfil accurate data within the system.

Management /Supervisory skills are required to take responsibility for junior staff within the team.
