We have a 12 month 0.6 WTE Education and Training 8A Pharmacist role on offer - available as either a Fixed Term or Secondment opportunity (NB. all Secondment applications must have approval of the line manager prior to application).
We are looking for a pharmacist with a passion for education and training to join our Secondary Care team in a key E+T specialist position based at our flagship Grange University Hospital (GUH) site. The ideal candidate should be an enthusiastic individual with a strong drive for delivering positive impact in everything they do. As part of the ABUHB Pharmacy Vision, we are focused on continuous investment in our workforce and are committed to delivering the highest standards for Pharmacy education and training for all.
In this role you will lead and facilitate the delivery of education and training at site, across a range of commissioned and internal training programmes including the Funded Pharmacy Undergraduate Placement Programme (FPUPP). You will be working in a dynamic and fulfilling role as part of the wider ABUHB E+T team. Our HB teams have a reputation for excellence, and all our working environments are welcoming and supportive.

Main duties of the job
Main duties of the job:
To support the ABUHB Education and Training (E&T) strategy by working with Site and Education and Training Leads to organise, evaluate and deliver training and development programmes within the Pharmacy Department.
To ensure training and education provided meets statutory, professional and regulatory requirements of Pharmacy undergraduates, trainee Pharmacists, Post-Registration Foundation Pharmacists, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants.
To lead and support delivery of HEIW commissioned training programmes including the Funded Pharmacy Undergraduate Placement Programme (FPUPP) within relevant Pharmacy site.
To act as a role model in the field of Pharmacy practice and provide a consistently high standard of practice in line with the ABUHB Pharmacy Vision.
To act as a non-medical prescriber when required, undertaking agreed sessions within sphere of competence, initiating/modifying medication, monitoring therapy and adjusting treatment options.
To deputise and support the Lead Pharmacists within the relevant Pharmacy Department when required.
