Aneurin Bevan University Health Board support flexible working.

Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12.60 per hour - £24,638 per annum.

This temporary top up will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2025/26 is confirmed.

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Pain, Anaesthetics, Critical Care and Theatres (PACCT) service team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Central PAC Pre-Assessment waiting lists and will be expected to work closely with surgical, nursing and managerial teams.

 

Main duties of the job

The role is pivotal in ensuring that the service meets agreed objectives and challenging targets, you will work closely with the Nursing teams,
the PACCT Management Team and anaesthetic consultants. Supported by the Scheduled Activity Support Manager.


Take a lead role in the modernisation of systems required to continually improve service delivery in this area. The ideal applicant will
engage with a wide range of stakeholders and will be required to work flexibly within the wider multi-disciplinary team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria
  • Experience of managing waiting lists, booking and RTT targets
  • Experience of Ormis
  • Ability to manage difficult situations under pressure.
Desirable criteria
  • Supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of Patient Administration System
  • Knowledge of Health Records systems

Qualifications and/or Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Educated to NVQ Level 4/Diploma level or equivalent demonstrable level of knowledge and experience
  • Computer Literate / Standard keyboard skills
  • Knowledge of administration processes
Desirable criteria
  • ECDL qualification (European Computer Driving Licence) or evidence of similar skill.
