Trosolwg o'r swydd

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Physiotherapy Children's and Adult Learning Disability team as a Clinical lead. The post holder is a key member of the physiotherapy service and will work closely as part of the senior leadership team which will include Operational Managers, Heads of Service and Clinical Leads across all specialities within physiotherapy. You will have the opportunity to influence service development across all areas of the Children and ALD physiotherapy service, clinically support staff with complex cases, ensure clinical governance, and innovate. There will be an opportunity to work closely with other disciplines within the health board, other agencies and partners to ensure a modern, fit for purpose service.

You will need to be a highly skilled clinician with excellent communication and leadership skills.

The role will work closely with an Operational Manager and another Clinical Lead within the Children's and ALD arena and will include many exciting opportunities including  providing expert opinion on complex cases, clinical guidance, mentoring and teaching across the service. As well as leading audit and research and be responsible for clinical governance, provide strategic direction and innovation to service development across the physiotherapy service.

 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Experience of and commitment to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level both locally and nationally
  • Experience of representing the physiotherapy profession in public/professional arena
  • Experience of working closely with Medical practioners
  • Evidence of leading Change, management and innovation in clinical practice
  • Experience of integrating user participation in service development
  • Experience of leading the development of and implementation of clinical guidelines and standards
  • Experience of having supervised staff who are directly accountable to the post holder
  • Experience of presenting evidence and evaluations to stakeholders

Education/ Qualification/Training

  • Registered with Health and Care professionals Council
  • Completion of Masters or equivalent appropriate advanced assessment, diagnostic and treatment course that is recognised/accredited
  • Appropriate range of Post grad clinical education
  • Active participation in a relevant national clinical interest group
  • Completion of clinical educators course or equivalent
  • Evidence of continuing professional development

  • The ability to implement clinical governance in specific physiotherapy practice
  • The ability to lead discussion on the NHS and the challenges facing the physiotherapy service
  • Awareness of relevant national and local guidelines
  • The ability to demonstrate highly developed critical appraisal skills
  • IT literate
