Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12.60 per hour - £24,638 per annum.

This temporary top up will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2025/26 is confirmed.

Job overview

The role is based at St Cadoc's Hospital Headquarters Building, with an opportunity to work in an agile manner across all the Health Board's sites and remotely. You will be the Finance lead responsible for several Divisions within the Corporate functions. Main duties of the job

The Senior Finance Analyst will provide professional financial advice and support to budget holders within the Division/Locality/Directorate, to contribute to achieving financial targets.

The post-holder will be expected to contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies, which facilitate the achievement of the Health Board’s financial objectives.

The post-holder will be expected to implement an annual budget setting process and to provide financial advice to all interested parties.

Education & Training

Essential criteria
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Part qualified (CCAB) accountant.

Work experience

Essential criteria
  • Minimum of 2 years experience of working in a finance department
  • Experience of using Oracle Financials and iProcurement system (or a similar system)
  • Able to demonstrate experience of working in a customer focused manner
  • Experience of working with budget holders
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of maintaining and enhancing an accounting system
  • Experience of working in the NHS

  • Advanced level of Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Word
