Job overview
We have a exciting fixed-term opportunities for Band 5 speech and language therapist within the children’s speech and language therapy service in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.
The therapists will work with children, young people and their families providing an excellent level of care using evidence-based practice and a range of clinical pathways to inform this. We are seeking enthusiastic therapists with a dynamic approach who can work collaboratively and effectively with others both within the Speech and Language Therapy team and the wider team around the child in a person-centred way. The post holder will be organised and committed to personal development.
This post is fixed term/secondment for 6 months until 31st March 2026 due to funding and to cover maternity leave. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
Main duties of the job
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Speech and Language Therapy department has 90 therapists and assistants working with a range of people with a range of speech, language and communication difficulties. Team meetings take place throughout the year and staff receive regular supervision.
We support flexible working arrangements and consideration will be given to part time or full time working.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to appuly.

- Member of RCSLT
