Recruitment Assistant

NHS AfC: Band 2

Great healthcare requires great people. That’s why we are doing everything we can to recruit committed, skilled people – and to make sure we support our new and existing employees, so they choose to stay with us.

We encourage you to ensure that your application relates to the Person Specification (provided as part of the Job Description or as a separate attachment).

The Trust reserves the right to close this vacancy before the advertised closing date if a large number of applications are received. If you would like to apply for this position then please keep this information in mind when preparing your submission.

Please note that if you have not had a response from us after one month of submitting your application, you have not been shortlisted for interview.

We are looking for an individual to join the HR Recruitment Team in our Bedford Office.

We need someone who is flexible and organized to perform many support functions which are key to the smooth running of the Recruitment Team. Duties will include providing clerical support to the Head of Resourcing and the wider Recruitment Team, such as arranging meetings, pulling together paperwork for panel submission and maintaining outcomes on the database, as well as maintaining shared inboxes and being a first point of contact for incoming phone calls.

This is an ideal opportunity to gain or utilise experience of working in a busy and ever-changing office environment. No previous experience is required, just your enthusiasm!

Applicant requirements

Applications from job seekers who require sponsorship to work in the United Kingdom (UK) are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. Please note that from January 2021, to work in the UK all candidates who are not UK or Republic of Ireland (RoI) nationals require sponsorship unless you have permission to work via another route. Non UK / RoI candidates wishing to apply can self-assess the likelihood of obtaining a Certificate of Sponsorship here. It is vital that you provide full and accurate details of your current immigration status on the application form. Overseas applicants applying for entry clearance into the UK must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided in continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Guidance can be found here. Not everyone needs a ‘Skilled Worker’ visa. If you are applying for a vacancy in health or adult social care, check if you’re eligible to apply for the Health and Care Worker visa instead. It’s cheaper to apply for and you do not need to pay the annual immigration health surcharge
