This is a wonderful opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join The Dementia Intensive Support Team (DIST). You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians with strongly embedded values of working together.
Main duties of the job
Duties include (but not limited to)
- Maintaining electronic patient record systems
- Maintaining and monitoring referral spreadsheets
- Typing of letters
- Telephone work
- General business support to wider clinical team
- Undertake other appropriate duties, as directed, being adaptable and flexible to service needs and changes across the locality.
- Promote adherence to Trust Policy and support compliance in all areas
- Promote a positive culture within the workplace; working within the remit of the Trust Values

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
DIST are looking to recruit a conscientious, calm and confident individual. Our successful applicant will be working alongside administrative and clinical colleagues to support the DIST service.
This role is a part time, fixed term position, based at G-Block in Bury St Edmunds.
You must possess excellent time management skills, a positive approach and be able to remain calm under pressure. You will need to be able to demonstrate the strength of your communication, prioritisation and administration skills at the same time as showcasing your knowledge of IT systems. You will be able to evidence a flexible response to service needs and the ability to think creatively. Experience of working to deadlines, on your own initiative and maintaining confidentiality are also essential.

- Understanding and experience in a full range of secretarial procedures and systems gained through practice at intermediate level.

- Pitman/RSA III Typing / Word Processing or equivalent secretarial experience at intermediate level
- NVQ 3 Business Administration or equivalent or working towards

- ICT skills including Microsoft (especially spreadsheets and presentations, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent
