It is an exciting time to become part of our dynamic team as SDEC and AMU are developed, where acute medical patients are assessed, treated, discharged or admitted in a fast paced and proactive way to ensure patients receive a safe and efficient journey.
We are proud to offer our patients this excellent service. You will need to have the ability to multi-task, be pro-active and have an enthusiasm for a developing service. You will be dynamic and efficient in briefly assessing patients with varying needs through their journey across the emergency floor.
You will be part of the team that works fluidly across the emergency floor – SDEC and AMU.
Main duties of the job
First contact with emergency patients.
Carrying out a range of clinical duties, including ECG's, cannulas and blood taking, observations, brief assessments (within your scope of practice) and dressings.

Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE or equivalent level of qualifications in English and Mathematics
Desirable criteria
- Care Certificate
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous experience in a clinical environment within the last 3 years
Desirable criteria
- Experience in an emergency setting
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm for and an understanding of the role
- Additional skills e.g. Phlebotomy Cannulation, Taking Vital Signs, ECG
