We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Staff Nurse  You will be required to confidently to support surgical patients with a range of  surgical conditions and needs . You will focus on engaging with colleagues, adapting and being flexible to the complex nature of Ward 5, where nursing standards could even made better. If you are a strong, caring and compassionate individual who works well under pressure and wants to deliver quality care then please apply. 

This role covers long days, nights and weekends.

 You will  be fully supported during your transition with  supernumerary status and additional training tailored to meet the requirements of the ward for the  delivery of   safe and high quality care.

  • The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.
  • Ensure that agreed standards of nursing practice within the ward area are maintained.
  • Ensure that all Trust, Divisional, and Ward & Safety Policies are adhered to. 
  • To be a team player supporting patients and the team.
  • To have a holistic approach to the delivery of nursing care.

Education and Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • Diploma or degree in nursing
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development

  • Undertaken Assessor training

Experience and Knowledge

  • Relevant experience in past 12-18 months of looking after patients in a health care environment
  • Previous experience in acute Clinical setting
  • Broad clinical knowledge base

  • Previous NHS experience in last 12 months
  • Previous experience Surgical/Medical specialities
