Job overview

The Wellbeing Service is a  Talking Therapy  Service, providing primary care assessment, advice and psychological interventions to people in Suffolk aged 16 and above. The service primarily caters for those who would like to access support with mild to moderate mental health difficulties including anxiety and depression.

The service is delivered via a partnership between Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation Trust (NSFT). We deliver a bio-psycho-social model which includes psychological, employment and social interventions across the county. Our treatments are delivered primarily by telephone, online, via webinars, and face to face.

We require excellent communicators and self-motivated individuals who are committed to delivering a high standard of care. The role predominantly involves providing regular case management supervision, and the provision of clinical skills training (group) as required, to qualified and trainee PWPs, in order to ensure the quality of the service at Step 2 is maintained and that our PWPs are enabled to continually develop their clinical skills.

Main duties of the job

This is an opportunity for a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner or a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner with at least  2 years post qualification experience, who is passionate about the Step 2 model, to develop their career within the service.

Our busy and high-volume service continues to expand, as we plan to work more with clients that have long term physical health conditions (LTCs) alongside common mental health problems.  We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team our Suffolk based offices.

You will assist the leadership team in the development of the Low Intensity part of the service, whilst helping the service achieve its required key performance indicators. The role will also include holding a small caseload of clients, delivering clinical interventions for up to one day per week.

You will be able to demonstrate experience of providing high volume, evidence-based practice in guided self-help using telephone and other methods of delivery, as well as an ability to lead others in a challenging environment.

‘Working From Home’ is available as part of our current hybrid working model, however your base will be in Bury St Edmunds/Ipswich and you will need to attend the twice office weekly in order to fulfil your role.

There are two roles available.  One permanent and one 12 month fix term.
