Job overview
We are looking for a motivated Activity Worker who wants to champion on Recovery focussed, client centred and least restrictive practice on Samphire Ward, our adult acute mental health inpatient ward based at Chatterton House, Kings Lynn. The suitable candidate will work within a supportive MDT to deliver clinically effective pathways of treatment and intervention. This will include individual and groupwork, and will practice clinically within our Ward.
You will be part of a therapy team which aims is to maintain, restore or create a match between the abilities of the person, the demands of their activities and occupations, and the demands of the environment in order to improve function, promote independence and enhance opportunities for meaningful participation in daily life, whilst working alongside and cooperatively with a skilled MDT.
Main duties of the job
You will help the team deliver meaningful activities to our people admitted to Samphire Ward. Offering evidence-based interventions to enhance recovery, reduce the length of admission, and enhance the person's mental health.
The team will greatly value your personal unique perspective and contribution and you will be given opportunity and support to champion this role. We will work together to ensure the care is not only outstanding but that the team is well developed and supported.
Supervision, professional development and staff welfare are important to the service and time and support will be available to engage in all these important roles
Our post holder would be able to attend meetings and training in order to strengthen their understanding of meaningful activities and support you to achieve desired professional goals which will help us deliver an outstanding service to those people and their carers needing our support.

- NVQ L2/3 in H&SC or Diploma L2/3 in H&S Care
- Care Certificate - or completion of the Care Certificate within 12 weeks of start date
