This is an excellent opportunity to begin a career in the NHS. The successful candidates will build experience working in administration in a supportive and friendly team.
We have a substantive position within our Community Mental Health Team at Thurlow House.
We are looking for confident, enthusiastic and proactive administrators to support the changing needs and demands of our fast paced clinical teams, in a wide variety of administrative functions.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate exceptional communication, interpersonal and customer service skills with an emphasis on team work. Ensuring a positive service user / carer experience is pivotal to the Receptionist / Office Clerk role.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Call handling, face to face liaison with service users, carers and colleagues alike, data entry, typing, scanning, uploading to clinical systems and other general administrative office duties.
- Previous experience of Trust IT system (Lorenzo) would be of benefit but not essential as all training will be provided.
- Previous experience of all Microsoft packages is desirable in the successful candidate.
- Resilience to support in an administrative capacity to distressing / upsetting situations ensuring the best care to our service users / carers and families.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure within a fast paced reception environment.
- Being able to prioritise under a pressurised environment.
- Supporting the day to day running of the office, including ad hoc office administration.
