Job overview

We have an opportunity for a Non-Medical Prescriber to join the Community Mental Health Team based at Victoria House in Lowestoft.

We are looking for a Mental Health Clinician, with extensive adult community mental health knowledge, who has completed their Non-Medical Prescribing Course. 

Waveney Adult Community team specialise in the working age adults group, based in the Waveney area. We focus on Recovery based interventions and strive to work in partnership with those we care for, their families and their networks.

Are you an experienced clinician who is highly motivated with a range of transferrable skills and is enthusiastic about working with adults experiencing mental health difficulties? We want to hear from you! In exchange you will be well supported within a friendly and well established team, with continuing opportunities for you and your ongoing professional development.

 

Main duties of the job

  • Formulating treatment plans to provide a holistic service to meet mental health and physical health needs.
  • To complete comprehensive assessment including assessment and management of risk. 
  • Undertaking urgent medication reviews.
  • Exploring alternatives to admission and advocating for intensive community-based/home treatment options.
  • To provide advice, support and guidance where required to the MDT.
  • To support staff development and act as a role model to the team, such as demonstrating the behaviours required in line with our Trust values.
  • Take part in Quality and Safety Reviews within the Trust.
  • Undertake Line Management Supervision within the team for an agreed number of staff.
