Main duties of the job
You will have the opportunity to work alongside a range of highly skilled, multidisciplinary staff ranging from nurses, clinical support workers, doctors, psychologists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, activities coordinators and many more.
You need to be supportive and express the below listed qualities to provide the best care to our service users and their families:
- Be approachable and interested in people
- Be confident in talking with people and comfortable with supporting people from diverse range of backgrounds, sexual orientation, culture, religion.
- Have the ability to empathise without giving advice before speaking with your clinical team
- Have a non-judgmental attitude and be an active listener.
- Be perceptive to notice changes
- Be calm in difficult circumstances or in crisis
- Be able to protect boundaries especially in distressing situations
- Have an awareness of and the ability to adhere to strict confidentiality rules
- Can commit to working shift patterns
