I would like to take this opportunity to get you on board this exciting opportunity to join our team and make a difference, where we are looking for a Band 6 Nurse. This is a team with a wealth of experienced colleagues who are focused on recovery and making a difference thereby has a positive impact on the quality of life for our service users.
We work hard to make sure we provide quality, evidence-based and collaborative care in all of the areas we cover. This role will include interaction and communication with a wide scope of people including service users, health and social care staff, medical and carers.

Main duties of the job

Are you a highly motivated, passionate, and skilled Mental Health Nurse? Do you believe in keeping Service Users and Carers at the heart of everything you do? Are you interested in developing your leadership skills whilst in a clinical role? Would you like to work in well supported, dynamic, enthusiastic recovery focused multi-disciplinary Low Secure team? Do you believe in co-production and embrace its principles? Within this role you will be involved in working alongside the MDT, working within the confines of a robust co-produced care plan that meets the individual service users’ needs whilst managing any risk factors for the individual or others. The recovery focused approach allows an opportunity to work collaboratively with carers, relatives, and other third-party agencies. In addition, this role will focus on proactively supporting reintegration back into the community, linking with third party services such as housing, drug and alcohol, attending all the necessary reviews and professional meetings as scheduled.
Please note this role requires Shift work of day and night shifts covering a 24/7 working week.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Nursing degree or equivalent RMN
- Mentorship qualification or willingness to undertake training
Experience
Essential criteria
- At least 2 years experience as Band 5
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience working in a PICU
Skills
Essential criteria
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to display calm, mature response to difficult situations
- Evidence of working proactively and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
Desirable criteria
- Ability to undergo PMA training
- Robust understanding of mental health medication and treatment.
