Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for two experienced Head of Clinical Transformation posts that will lead and manage a focused programme of work however may be required to lead on additional programmes of work as agreed under the Trust’s clinical transformation change portfolio of work.  

Post one- Head of Adult Community Mental Health Transformation Programme

Post two- Head of Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Transformation programme  

The post holder/s will have a strong and recognised mental health clinical background required to drive transformation across the organisation, with a responsibility to oversee the clinical transformation programmes that are clearly aligned with the Trust’s Strategic Objectives, and will provide clinical, technical & strong leadership, delivering excellent Transformation and programme results. The post holder/s will work closely with the Trust new clinical and operational Triumvirate leadership framework across the localities to drive the required changes.   

Main duties of the job

Responsibility will include leading the designated programme, assuring the programme meets the required timescales and the desired outcomes, managing the project managers (internally and externally) to support the delivery of large, complex and significant transformation Programme/s. The post holder/s will be expected to be flexible and will need to work across programmes as and when required.  The post holder will be expected to provide knowledge and input into highly complex operational planning and act as a role model for guiding lasting change across NSFT services.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Professional Clinical Mental Health qualification, with a current registration to a professional body – NMC, HPCC Social work England.
  • Appropriate Management Qualification or equivalent
  • Experience transformation and improvement methodology.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of interpretation of highly complex business data and information to enable service redesign.
  • Experience of documenting processes using process mapping, process improvement and change management methodologies.

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Negotiating on complex matters of critical organisational importance with directors and senior managers
  • Proven ability to receive, analyse and interpret highly complex information such as material requiring strong numerical and verbal critical reasoning ability.
  • Can demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and experience in transformational change and service redesign

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Excellent appreciation of performance improvement and implementation with the NHS
