Job overview

This maternity cover role involves working in a small, friendly multi-disciplinary team to provide psychological interventions for young people with eating disorders and their families. You will work alongside psychological therapists and a wide range of other professionals. You will be based in Norwich but there may be a requirement to travel independently across Norfolk and Suffolk on occasion.

We will provide regular clinical supervision, and relevant specialist training and opportunities for professional development, for example CBT for eating disorders.

We are looking to appoint a skilled, committed, and motivated individual with excellent communication and organisational skills and a keen interest in working with families and young people. Previous experience working with individuals with eating disorders is ideal but not essential. We can accommodate some flexible working, in line with the service need and we are a Family Friendly and supportive team.

Main duties of the job

The role will include, but not be limited to: assessment, formulation and psychological treatment of individuals with eating disorders and co-morbid mental health difficulties, clinical responsibility for complex cases, supporting the Principal Clinical Psychologist with service development projects, providing clinical supervision, and providing consultation to colleagues and to external agencies. Our main models of practice are systemic and CBT so skills in those areas would be desirable.

If you are interested in joining this exciting and motivated team, please look at the detailed Job Description for more information about this post.

We will consider applications from newly qualified psychologists on a Band 7 basis.

Working for our organisation

Here at NSFT we pride ourselves on being a welcoming, talented, friendly and supportive team who like nothing better than sharing experiences and learning from each other. In addition to ongoing training and development opportunities, we are committed to providing an environment in which you can thrive.

We’re an hour and a half away from London and have an international airport in Norwich too. Our villages, towns and cities are packed full of history, independent cafes, shops and theatres. We have excellent shopping, eating out, top ranking schooling and affordable house prices too.
