Job overview

We are looking for candidate to fill our locality governance lead who will display innovative, dynamic, highly motivated, highly competent, and resilient characteristics. The ideal candidates will be passionate about improving and maintaining high standards of care.

We have 1 full time position for West Locality - King's Lynn.

You will have confidence and experience in systems and processes which provide assurance of patient safety and quality of care; be a strong and experienced leader and have a proven track record of delivering against objectives. You will exercise sound judgement, providing advice that is routed in robust evidence and experience and will build strong relationships across their locality and become a trusted member of the team.

Postholders will work as an integral part of the locality leadership and management team, supporting the development and implementation of corporate and clinical governance systems and processes from ‘floor to Board’.

Main duties of the job

If successful, you will be joining us at an exciting time as we implement our “place-based” leadership model which will reduce unwarranted clinical variation and deliver consistent, service user-centred care across systems of care and support our organisation’s future development as a specialist mental health provider.

The post holder will have a key locality leadership role across the following areas: -

· Leading at locality level on the implementation of the clinical governance agenda

· Ensuring governance meetings are being held appropriately ward/team, service and network level across the locality.

· Work with the locality leadership to ensure the locality is compliant with trust-wide requirements for quality and key legislative requirements.

· Promoting a safety culture and helping to implement safety alerts/guidance/best practice/lessons from incidents within the locality.

· Providing advice and guidance to clinical teams in conducting investigations.

· Ensuring risks have been assessed, identified and are being addressed appropriately, captured on risk registers.

· Ensure learning from incidents, complaints, audit etc. is being shared and implemented.
