An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic nurse leader to join Adult Community Services at HDFT

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Matron to lead our Adult Community Services. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of community healthcare and make a real difference in the lives of our patients and support our ambition of making HDFT the best place to work.

 

Main duties of the job

You will be a visible and inspirational leader, responsible for the operational and professional management of our Adult Community Services, alongside the AHP Lead and Service Managers

  • You will drive the highest standards of care, champion patient safety, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. 
  • Provide strong, compassionate leadership and management to a diverse team of healthcare professionals.

  • Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality clinical care in a community setting.

  • Oversee performance, manage resources, and support the professional development of your staff.

  • Collaborate with senior leaders and external partners to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.

  • Champion quality governance, clinical standards, and CQC compliance.

Essential criteria
  • Registered Nurse
  • Master’s level qualification or working towards or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development in a recognised nursing field of practice
  • Senior Clinical Management experience
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of management models, implementing change and/or new clinical practices and current professional issues.
Desirable criteria
  • Recognised leadership development training
  • Community Specialist Practitioner
  • Teaching and assessing skills.
  • Experience of leading patient involvement/patient feedback initiatives.
