We are looking for Ward Sisters/Charge Nurses to support the Farndale Ward Manager in setting up and successfully running the Winter Escalation Ward in 2025/26. The ward will be caring for Gastroenterology and short stay medical patients .

The successful post-holder will require excellent communication skills and must be able to work flexibly and quickly adapt to a new working environment and team.

Main duties of the job

• Have responsibility for maintaining the highest standards of care for patients in the ward.
• Provide professional, clinical and managerial leadership to nursing staff within the ward.
• Contribute to managing the nursing and material resources of the ward in a flexible and cost effective way.
• Support the Ward Manager.
• Be involved with the Infection Control/Prevention Audit Programme.
• Be involved with HDFT Impact
