Harrogate Nutrition & Dietetic department is a supportive, friendly department of 23 staff based at Harrogate District Hospital. We provide a dietetic service across both acute and community settings.
We now have a vacancy for an enthusiastic, innovative dietitian with oncology experience to provide the dietetic service to the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre, which is on the hospital site.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work within the cancer MDT to support patients living with cancer. This will involve delivering high quality care to patients requiring nutrition support at diagnosis, during and after cancer treatment. This includes people receiving palliative and best supportive care.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Harrogate Nutrition and Dietetics service is an enthusiastic, empowered, inclusive team that supports and lives the Trust's values. We welcome dietetic students on A, B and C placements largely from Leeds Beckett university and the successful post-holder will be expected to take part in pre-registration training.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Recognised degree or post graduate qualification in Human Nutrition & Dietetics
- UK Registered Dietitian with the Health and Care Professions Council for minimum of 1 year
- Member of the British Dietetic Association or other professional indemnity insurance
Experience
Essential criteria
- Minimum of 2 year post registration dietetic experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience of working with cancer patients with a range of diagnoses
- Experience of working with patients undergoing Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working with people requiring palliative or best support care
- Knowledge and experience of Therapy Outcome Measures (TOMs)

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
