Job overview

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit a part-time Locum Consultant General Paediatrician with an interest in Paediatric allergy to work within Paediatric team. This is a Locum post commencing as soon as the successful applicant can take up the post. 

This is an opportunity to join an organisation in which Clinicians are at the forefront of management.   There will also be the opportunity to help us shape the future of services for children in the hospital and community.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Main duties of the job

This is a part-time Locum position at 8 PAs. The successful applicant would be expected to work one week in every ten (split between weekdays and weekends) to provide cover for the ward as part of the Consultant of the week model.

We are a very supportive department and will ensure the successful candidate has a Consultant mentor and the relevant peer support they require.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • • Entry on GMC Specialist Register; eligible for entry on Register or within six months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at time of interview
  • • MB ChB or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • • Five years supervised training in an appropriate SpR equivalent training programme or equivalent run-through training
  • • Higher qualification in Children’s allergy
