**This role is a fixed term contract / secondment post for 3 years**

We are recruiting an experienced registered nurse to join our friendly hardworking team of Clinical Site Managers. Our role is challenging and requires good problem solving skills combined with being an experienced decision maker with an adaptable and flexible approach to many situations. 

 

 

Main duties of the job

Our duties include: managing the Trust’s bed capacity, managing and resolving issues related to patient flow as well as assisting in the achievement of key performance and quality standards. 

We support nursing, medical, and ancillary staff as well patients and their relatives throughout the site night and day. We provide overall responsibility for the hospital site out of hours with offsite support from the on call senior Manager/Director.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

We would like Candidates to have post registration experience and will have a minimum of one-year previous clinical leadership/team leader (band 6) experience in an acute setting. Evidence of advanced clinical skills and professional development will be required. We currently operate a 24/7 rota consisting of three 12.5 hr shifts. The post holder will be required to work days and nights over a seven-day period.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • • Registered Nurse on the appropriate part of the NMC Register or Registered with HCPC
  • • A good standard of education to degree level or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • • Evidence of ongoing professional development within nursing
  • • Recognised leadership development training Professional and clinical competence
Desirable criteria
  • • Masters Level Degree
  • • Teaching qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • • Working at a senior management or clinical level and able to demonstrate proven leadership and management skills
  • • Experience of multidisciplinary team working
Desirable criteria
  • • Previous Bed Management/ Clinical Site Management experience
  • • Previous experience at Band 6.
  • • Involvement in clinical audit and/or research
