FY2-ST2

Job overview

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust are excited to invite applications for a 12 month LED fixed term post across the Surgical Specialties (General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Orthogeriatrics and Urology)

The post will suit a motivated doctor who would like to develop their knowledge and experience in the field of Surgery.  When working clinically the post holder will work across surgical services at FY2+ level, as a member of a ward-based team at Harrogate District Hospital.  Candidates will have the opportunity to discuss any particular interests at the interview stage and will also be supported to gain exposure in their area of clinical interest.

Main duties of the job

Clinically you will work at FY2-ST2 level (dependant on experience). There is no requirement to work out-of-hours in this role but there may be the opportunity to do so should you wish. As a key member of a clinical team, post holders will be expected to maintain a high professional standard and actively participate in matters concerning patient safety and Clinical Governance.

This is a full-time position but candidates wishing to work part-time or in a job-share are encouraged to apply. If a part-time or job-share person is appointed modification of the job content will be discussed with the appointee on a personal basis. They will be required to devote substantially the whole of his/her time for the appointed sessions to the duties of the post and to give them priority at these times.
