If so, we are offering a position as Skills Development and Graduate Scheme Administrator in the Skills Development Network (Yorkshire and Humber) Team. Your role will be to provide support to the Head of Skills Development and to the two national NHS Graduate Scheme Teams

Main duties of the job

You will join a supportive team and receive full training on all aspects of the role. The role will be a predominantly administrative role, but will offer the post holder a diverse workload. Tasks will include providing clerical support  to the Head of Skills Development (Yorkshire & Humber) NHS Procurement Graduate Scheme Team and the NHS Estates Graduate Scheme Team, ranging from diary management, booking meetings and assisting with day-to-day correspondence, to taking minutes at meetings and ensuring actions are followed up.  The post holder will also be responsible for all the administrative paperwork for the running and promotion of NHS Graduate Training Schemes. 
You will come with a ‘getting it right first time’ attitude.
At interview you will need to demonstrate a willingness to learn & possess excellent organisational skills. You will be a team player with initiative, able to manage your own workload and meet service demands. Good IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications are required.  You will work independently but advice and support will always be available.

Essential criteria
  • Experience working as part of a team and the ability to develop contacts and build networks.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of social media such as LinkedIn, X and Instagram.
  • An understanding of the NHS Skills Development Agenda.

Skills and Aptitudes

Essential criteria
  • Administrative skills, IT user/keyboard skills including Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook and Internet.
  • Planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and to tight timescales.

Personal Circumstances

Essential criteria
  • Ability to travel locally and nationally.
  • Ability to work flexibly in order to facilitate events which may also involve occasional overnight stays
