Are you passionate about providing compassionate care and making a difference in patients' lives?
We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Patient Services Assistants (PSA) on Lilac Ward at Scarborough Hospital.
Lilac is a very busy admissions ward. As a PSA you will be an integral member of our ward team, working closely with nursing staff to ensure high standards of patient-centred care. Your role will involve a variety of non-nursing duties, from assisting with cleaning and food service to supporting patient transport to other wards.
You will be guided by Trust policies and procedures, and your compassionate approach will help meet patients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and Behaviour: Demonstrate courtesy, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions with patients, relatives, and visitors. Act as an ambassador for the Trust, promoting a positive image and maintaining public confidence.
- Cleaning: Assist with ward cleaning schedules, sanitise beds and chairs, manage waste disposal, and restock supplies.
- Food Service: Prepare and serve snacks and beverages, assist patients with menus, and support nutritional needs.
- Portering Service: Transport patients, medical notes, and equipment safely within the hospital.
- Front Desk: Handle face-to-face and telephone enquiries, direct visitors, and support volunteers.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards, and report any incidents or accidents.
