Job overview
We are looking for a motivated individual to liaise daily with our medical teams across York and Scarborough sites for Paediatrics to ensure our medical rotas are safely and efficiently staffed. You should have excellent organisational and communication skills.
The role will be based in Scarborough, with one day per week on York site.

Main duties of the job
You will provide a comprehensive, efficient and effective administrative support by efficiently deploying Consultant and Senior/Junior Doctors across the Paediatric team. This will involve close liaison with Consultants, Senior/Junior Doctors and the Paediatric Management Team. You will be responsible for providing and co-ordinating rotas, ensuring cover is arranged for all vacant shifts.

Education, Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- • Educated to A Level Standard or equivalent. Or GCSE Maths and English (Grades 4-9)
- • At least 1 year’s administration experience
Desirable criteria
- • Proficient in Microsoft Office (word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook)
Experience and Knowledge Required
Essential criteria
- • Confident & effective user of MS Office packages inc Word, Outlook/NHS Mail and Excel. Including ability to accurately undertake data entry
- • Proven ability to prioritise and manage changing and/or conflicting deadlines
- • Proven customer service skills
Desirable criteria
- • Knowledge of current medical staffing issues.
- • Understanding of rotas and staffing requirements.
- • Previous experience using Health Roster
