To succeed in this role, candidates will need excellent communication skills, be highly organised, flexible, and creative in their approach to education.

Main duties of the job

  • To work within the clinical skills facilities to develop, implement and deliver teaching of clinical skills programmes to undergraduate medical students, with a primary responsibility for supporting HYMS students.
  • To support students and tutors within clinical areas, liaising with clinical tutors, junior doctors and other health care professionals in the identification of patients suitable to use as the key resource for HYMS teaching.

  • To work with other Clinical Skills Tutors across the HYMS sites to develop a strategic approach to the teaching and assessing of Clinical Skills, including developing opportunities for multi-disciplinary training where appropriate.
