Job overview

We are looking for motivated and compassionate Health Care Support Workers, with a passion for caring for people. The successful candidate will play an integral role in improving patient outcomes.
They will work as part of the multidisciplinary team, providing a high standard of safe care and effective nursing care.
Main duties of the job
- To work as a part of the team under the supervision of Registered Nurses
- Participate in delivery of patient care
- Contribute towards the ward organisation
- Support registered nurses in the provision of a safe and caring environment
- Complete the care certificate

Qualfications
Essential criteria
- Numeracy/literacy skills to Functional Skills Level 1 (GCSE 2-3 / D-F / equivalent)
- Basic IT skills, able to applications such as email on a computer or smart device
Desirable criteria
- Level 2/3 Health care related qualification. e.g. NVQ, BTEC, T-Level, Apprenticeship
Skills and abilities
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Willing to undertake further training.
- Ability to prioritise tasks.
Desirable criteria
- Ability to communicate health-related information.
Knowledge and experience
Essential criteria
- Understanding of person centred care and the role of the HCSW
Desirable criteria
- Experirence in health or social care setting
