The Acute and General Medicine Therapy Team are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and driven Physiotherapist to join the team. The individual must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills to support developing the service to provide high quality, timely therapy assessment and interventions.
As a senior Physiotherapist you will provide assessment, treatment and management advice for patients covering the new Enhanced Care Unit (ECU) and the general medical wards including prioritising/managing the daily caseload within the team, assessing and delivering therapy interventions, ensuring the highest professional standards of care are maintained, demonstrating adherence to the Trust Values and operating as a leader in the team, service and organisation.

Main duties of the job
- To be a team member contributing to the delivery of therapy services across the Medical caseload, alongside the senior leadership team.
- To provide specialist advice to therapy staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team and wider team.
- To use client-centred approaches to patient care.
- To participate in and provide clinical and management supervision.
- To contribute to multi-disciplinary team working.
- To contribute to and lead on service improvement and quality initiatives.
- To use the Trust electronic patient record system.
- To abide by all Trust policies and procedures.
- To be able to respond flexibly and creatively to challenges.

Education, Qualifications & Training
Essential criteria
- Degree in Physiotherapy
- HCPC Registered Physiotherapist
- Evidence of post graduate training within specialist area
- Evidence of theoretical learning relevant to role
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of post graduate qualification or accreditation within specialist area.
Experience & Knowledge Required
Essential criteria
- Experience in a relevant junior role, including the management of a range of conditions, with evidence of additional knowledge acquired through formal and informal training and supervision.
- Developed/specialist clinical skills within relevant area.
- Evidence of ability to manage complex clinical presentations.
- Experience in assessment and provision of specialist equipment
- Experience in delivering clinical treatment within specialist area
- Able to demonstrate application of theoretical learning relevant to specialist role.
- Delivery of relevant audit/research projects
- Understanding of current issues in health care Standards of Professional Practice
Desirable criteria
- Practice placement supervisor qualification
- Experience in the use of outcome measures to evaluate clinical treatment
- Experience of training/supporting others (including students) within specialist clinical area

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
