The Clinical Work Based Learning Team has a facilitator vacancy within the team that will be based at Scarborough Hospital site. Clinical Work Based Learning Facilitators play an essential role in assisting in the delivery of vocational qualifications to the non- registered clinical workforce (Bands 1- 4) across the organisation, working within Clinical and Professional Education Work Based Learning and have key relationships with colleagues in the Clinical Work Based Learning Team, the Practice Education Team, Workforce Development, and clinical and non-clinical staff across the wider organisation.

This post holder will be based at the Scarborough Hospital site. It involves travel to other sites within the organisation as required and offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to develop negotiation and communication skills as a Registered Health Care Professional in practice work based education. You would be working within a team based across the organisation, working together to support learners and staff in achieving competencies as part of their role. Some of this role will be supporting inductions and guided study sessions.

We are looking for a person that identifies and works with the Trust values and have had previous experience with learners, someone who has identified and demonstrated their enthusiasm for practice education in the workplace. This person is able to work in a team and independently to identify learning needs, meet regulatory standards and work with those in the clinical areas to achieve completion of competencies.

Applicants will need to be flexible, willing to work towards the needs of the service and promoting quality assurance in the learning environment.

This post holder will usually work weekdays with some negotiated flexibility on their times of work to fit in with learner induction and service needs.

Applicant requirements

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
