Job overview
An interesting and unique opportunity has arisen for either an individual seeking career development within the Trust, or for an individual with
suitable demonstrable skills.
A new position of cystic fibrosis MDT coordinator within a cohesive MDT has been developed. The team work closely together to deliver excellent and continually improving long-term care to people with cystic fibrosis across Humber and North Yorkshire. There is a focus in the team on individual and team development with regular timeouts and other activities.
We are seeking a candidate with excellent communication and organisational skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in their work, possess personal attributes of empathy, compassion and respect, be able to demonstrate resilience and have an ability to work with people at all levels across the Trust.

Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities are:
1. To develop, support and co-ordinate CF centre meetings, clinics and other activities, ensuring that they are as effective as possible.
2. To ensure that the CF centre physical and electronic spaces are kept tidy and support the effective working of the CF MDT.
3. To support good relationships and communication between the CF centre and stakeholders including people with CF, their families, operational and clinical colleagues and with other departments both within and outside of this NHS trust.
4. Supporting the smooth running of the MDT, particularly ensuring that CF centre physical and virtual/digital facilities are organised and ready for use at all times, is the priority of this role.
This requires the post-holder to demonstrate an ability to work under their own initiative with an element of autonomy.

Education, Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent. English at C or above – or equivalent qualification/demonstrable experience
- Relevant administration qualifications ie RSA, NVQ, ECDL
- Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable criteria
- AMSPAR Diploma/degree/apprenticeship qualification
Experience & Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Minimum of two years secretarial/administrative experience
- Have experience in producing and working with computer-based systems to track and record outcomes and information
- Good awareness of delivering high quality information
Desirable criteria
- Relevant experience working in the NHS in a clinical setting or handling data
- Knowledge and experience of hospital systems
- Knowledge of Audit procedures

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to communicate complex information effectively, clearly, and accurately in plain simple language, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work calmly, efficiently and professionally even in busy environments where there may be conflicting demands
