Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the service for a Band 6 Clinical Skills Educator. We are seeking a forward thinking individual who has a passion for renal nursing and has the drive to take the service forward. The role will involve working with staff across our 4 dialysis units in York, Harrogate, Easingwold and Scarborough and staff on the renal medicine ward.
The ability to transport yourself and equipment across the Trust and locality during the course of a working day is required for this vacancy.
Training needs may require shift work outside of standard working hours and flexibility is required.
Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Skills Educator you will lead on development, delivery and evaluation of plans of education, competency based training programmes and support activities related to clinical nurse education.
You will work with both registered and non registered nursing staff and work in partnership with the Renal band 7's, the renal multidisciplinary team, clinical skills educators across the Trust.

Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse, Registered with the NMC
- Recognised teaching certificate or equivalent experience
- Renal nursing qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- At least 3 years post registration experience in a Renal setting
- At least 12 months clinical haemodialysis experience
Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
