Are you someone who is looking for a role that will fit around your varying commitments, but also interested in working and gaining experience in a busy hospital service? Then this may be the job for you!
We have opportunities for friendly enthusiastic and customer focused people to join our Catering Team.
Main duties of the job
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation, transportation and distribution of food for patients, staff and visitors in a clean food safe environment
- Keeping the kitchen clean
- Monitoring food temperatures as part of HACCP
- Washing up and other general cleaning duties
- The role also could involve working in cold rooms to pick and seal patient food, and also working in pot wash
The ideal candidate will have catering experience, be fantastic with customers, a good team player and able to work on their own unsupervised. Full training will be provided. Enhanced rates apply when working at the weekend.

Education, Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- You will go through an induction programme on appointment for a number of weeks to provide the relevant training required for the role
Desirable criteria
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
Experience & Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Good basic education including reading, writing and numeracy skills
- Basic understanding of how important food safety is
Applicant requirements
