Job overview
We are seeking to enhance our York and Scarborough digital team in order to effectively support the implementation of our patient-centered clinical strategy. An excellent opportunity is available for an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme Support Officer (PSO) to become part of a dedicated team committed to delivering this programme across the Trust.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing aspects of the programme and assisting with tasks to achieve strategic objectives. They will be expected to plan, support, facilitate, and monitor project components or work streams during the programme lifecycle, utilising established project management methodologies to ensure delivery of benefits.
12-month Fixed Term. If you are an NHS employee applying on a Secondment basis you must seek approval from your current manager.
Monday- Friday
The job an be based either at York or Scarborough Digital offices with some home working available.
Please note, interviews for this position are held in person at one of our Trust sites. Remote interviews will not be available.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate must have a degree or equivalent professional experience, demonstrate advanced IT proficiency at the ECDL standard, and have comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 365. Up-to-date understanding of local strategies and evidence of ongoing professional development are important. The successful candidate needs to be able to work independently, manage and prioritise tasks for themselves and the team, and present analysed information clearly. Outstanding verbal and written communication are essential, along with the ability to express ideas in a fluent and persuasive way.
The post holder should be able to travel occasionally between venues to accommodate the needs of the role.

Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in a project management or support environment
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
Experience and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in a project focused environment
- Proven experience of project management support specifically status reporting, risk management and plan/milestone tracking
- Experience of providing admin support and facilitating events
- Strong organisational and time management skills, and evidence of working in a systematic manner
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to pull together comprehensive draft reports.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in a health or social care environment.
- A recognised project management qualification, such as PRINCE2 Foundation/Practitioner
