Job overview

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Bank Hospitality Assistants to join our Hotel Services team across Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This is a vital role, helping us provide a safe, clean and welcoming environment for our patients, staff and visitors.

This position is within the Hotel Services Department which is part of the wider department consisting of Cleaning, Laundry, Catering, Porter, Reception and Front of House services across seven hospital sites, health centers and administration buildings across Northamptonshire.

The Hospitality Assistant role will mainly cover our Domestic & Catering Services requirements.

Please be advise this role has not set base and shifts will be located across both the West of the County and North of the County. 

We have main sites within Northampton, Kettering, Corby, Wellingborough, Rushden, Daventry & Brackley.

Main duties of the job

Your duties will include:

Domestic Services

  • Cleaning wards, clinics, departments and public areas to agreed standards
  • Floor care, waste disposal, infection control and deep cleans
  • Handling and safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals (COSHH)
  • Supporting laundry, deliveries, portering tasks and stock movement

Catering Services

  • Preparing and serving food and beverages to patients, staff and visitors
  • Assisting with ward meal services and café provision
  • Maintaining food hygiene, temperature checks and cleaning schedules
  • Supporting stock control, deliveries and stores when require

Working for our organisation

Hours: Various Bank hours available including weekends and bank holidays which will be paid at the current NHS enhanced rate

Various shifts times within 7am – 7pm
