Job overview

 We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Digital Learning Officer to join our People Development Team, to cover a maternity leave of one of our team members. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about using digital tools and resources to enhance teaching, learning and staff development.

About the Role

You will play a key role in supporting all our colleagues; to develop the skills they need to be able to do their roles fully through the development and delivery of learning through digital technologies into their learning teaching and professional practice. Your work will directly contribute to improving the colleagues learning experience, developing innovative resources, and building digital confidence across the organisation.

We are looking for someone who is:

·        Confident using a wide range of digital learning technologies.

·        Creative, with the ability to design engaging multimedia content.

·        Organised, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities.

·        A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with staff at all levels.

·        Committed to supporting excellence in teaching, learning and staff development.

 

Main duties of the job

Operate as Digital Learning Officer within The Trust to provide advice and support to the wider organisation in terms of tools to support learning through digital tools.

·             To support with training within the Trust for staff & managers of Digital Learning

·             To develop the promotional and communications in the support of colleague learning

·             To play a key role in the delivering the People Plan at KGH and NGH Group People Plan through digital creations

·             Deliver Digital Learning content required for Statutory and Mandatory Training i.e. videos and eLearning

·             To prepare Learning and Education System Reports and other required reports at Trust, Regional or Trust level.

·             To support the Learning and Education Managers with the development of learning materials

Person specification

Educations, Training and Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • 4 GCSEs Grade C or above (including English and maths)
  • Graphic design/marketing/media or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • Degree or equivalent in a relatable subject
  • CIPD HR Management Level 5 (or above) or Associate level or substantial equivalent experience/working knowledge as described above.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Be able to provide Organisational Development and Digital Learning advice
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • To have a good knowledge and understanding of communication methods (including social media channels, intranet), engagement processes and methods and techniques to support thi
  • Demonstrable experience of dealing with a range of administrative tasks
  • Professional networking locally/regionally
  • Analysis and presentation of data (to generate continuous improvement)
  • Well-developed knowledge of current and anticipated issues in the healthcare environment
Desirable criteria
  • Well-developed knowledge of current and anticipated issues in the healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of using internal communication tools.
  • Experience of working on complex projects in a support or lead capacity.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a service function
  • Experience in designing collateral such as booklets, posters, presentations.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with staff and managers, present information and lead employee forums.
  • Ability to manage and work to tight and challenging deadlines, managing agreed pieces of work
  • IT skills to produce eye catching collateral for digital training, presentations, videos and toolkits.
