Job overview

We are looking for a Band 4 Clinical Administrator to work at Sudborough House, St Marys Hospital, to provide comprehensive support to the Community Paediatricians and Nurse Practitioner. You would join part of a caring and compassionate team that is developing, innovative and dynamic, situated within the Children’s Directorate. You will have excellent customer service skills, especially on the phone to our service users and partner agencies or professionals, in addition to excellent organisational skills and a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and SystmOne. You must also have good team working, coordination, planning and scheduling skills, and a solution focused attitude.

Main duties of the job

To provide a full and comprehenive  secretarial and administrative service to the Consultants and their team(s) to support the smooth runing of day-to-day operational issues for supporting the clinical teams, thus enabling a whole team approach with the aim of pviding outstanding compassionate care.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in literacy and numeracy
  • NVQ (or equivalent) in Administration Level 3
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ (or equivalent) in Administration Level 2
  • IT/Typing qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
  • Dealing with customers/patients face to face and/or via telephone
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word/excel etc)
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in the NHS (or care service)
  • Expereience of working with young people and their families
  • Experience with SystmOne and other NHS systems
