At Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) and Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT)  we are embarking on a bold digital transformation—aligning strategies, uniting teams, and harnessing the power of technology to reimagine care for our populations.

We are looking for a Joint Deputy Digital Director to help shape the future of healthcare in our region. You will drive technology, optimise our existing systems, digital infrastructure, and identify opportunities to enhance our cyber security to support the delivery of safe care.

You will oversee multiple teams within our Digital Group leading Assistant Directors and Heads of Service and working closely with the Group Chief Digital Information Officer (GCDIO), you’ll serve as a key deputy, providing strategic oversight and continuity across services.

We're seeking a high-calibre IT leader with extensive experience in managing multidisciplinary service portfolios—spanning Service Delivery, Cyber Security, Infrastructure, CRM and end user support, supporting NHFT, LPT and playing a significant role in Leicestershire Health Informatics Service.

In this role, you'll collaborate with senior leaders across the Group and the wider ICS to ensure our digital directorate continues to deliver safe, effective and high-quality services ensuring that the voices and needs of NHFT, LPT and the communities we serve are represented.

 

Main duties of the job

·         The Joint Deputy Digital Director – Clinical Systems, Programmes and Innovation will have oversight and accountability for all Digital Programmes and projects within Digital supporting the Trusts’ PMO with prioritising and resourcing all programmes and projects and making sure they align to the Digital strategy. Projects will include technical projects and programmes as well as digital innovation projects, clinical systems projects and also supporting and leading on ICS/county digital programmes.

·         As lead officer for NHFT and LPT on the Northamptonshire and LLR shared Care Record and all other ICS shared digital clinical technologies the post holder will be expected to attend all relevant committees representing the interests of NHFT and LPT.

·         The post holder will lead on digital innovation for the Group CDIO, driving delivery of national expectations and targets related to digitisation ensuring that NHFT & LPT remains compliant with contractual obligations relating to digital, whilst constantly seeking to identify emerging technologies that will improve the way services are provided.
