We want our workforce to represent the diversity of the people and communities we work with. This is an exciting opportunity for Senior Psychologists who may wish to augment their primary role/s,  with an established position in our services' diagnostic pathway .

We are looking for experienced psychologist's , with an  evidenced skills in neurodevelopmental diagnostic assessments to join our team.

The service offers specialist assessment and interventions and promotes neurodiversity approaches in the wider service and across mental health pathways.

Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust was rated Outstanding by CQC in 2018 and is a great place to work. We are proud of the Psychology provision within the Trust, and feedback has consistently been that we have a well-developed Psychology network which offers a strong sense of professional identity, support and strategic influence. Psychology and psychological approaches are highly valued in the Trust.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for suitably qualified clinicians with specialist clinical experience in the field of ADHD and Autism diagnostics, as well as some experience in working with  clinical presentations in Adult Mental Health. Potential applicants should also be experienced in providing supervision if/as required.

This will require you to exercise collaborative leadership skills within the Team and to promote the service externally. We are looking for an innovative and resilient clinician with evidenced training who can operate with confidence and credibility to play a key role in the service. Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to influence and negotiate successfully are essential. You will contribute to developing and monitoring the clinical outcomes and impact of the service and will have a flexible approach to changing patterns of service delivery as needed.

Working for our organisation

NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community. Because we put the person at the centre of all we do, we focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible. This means many of our services can be provided at home, work or in schools. We also provide health services to various prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.

NHFT promotes a culture of learning to improve the care and safety of our patients and staff, which focuses on people who enable our Trust to be ‘outstanding’ by supporting opportunity, innovation, development and growth.
