Job overview

Can you spare 4 hours a week?

Are you friendly, caring and a good listener? Are you able to approach people to offer help?

We are looking for volunteers Monday to Friday:

  • AM Shift – start 8.30 and finish at 12.30pm.
  • PM Shift – starts 12.30 and finish at 4.30pm.

Please note:

The commitment we ask for is:

  •          4 hours each shift
  •         Ideally same day each week

Our volunteers are an invaluable part of the hospital team so come and join us and make a difference.

Main duties of the job

The role is reactive to the needs of the hospital and will involve working across various departments. You will be advised daily as to what tasks you will be required to undertake but could involve running errands for departments, doing well being rounds around the Trust, directing people at the welcome desks and carrying out Meet and Greets.

Volunteers cannot replace the role of a paid employee, and this is not a work placement.

All our divisions are committed to doing things better, with more efficiency as we update, modernise, and advance.
